Sunday Reflection...

My hubby and I went to a family wedding yesterday.  It was a joyous time being reunited with family members we hadn't seen in a while.

I was reminded that Jesus' first miracle was at a wedding feast at Cana in Galilee when he turned the water into wine.

But even more important is the "Marriage Supper" that will take place one day in Heaven. The Bible refers to the church [those who have sought forgiveness of sins, and are living a righteous life] as the Bride of Christ, and Christ as the bridegroom.

In Revelation 19:9 John wrote:  'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'   "Those" in that passage refers to anyone who has been forgiven.  No one knows when that "Marriage Supper" is going to take place [except God], but it will be the ultimate marriage celebration in Heaven between Christ and His bride [the church].  It will supersede the grandest marriage celebration that's ever been held on earth.

And the best part is Christ freely extends His invitation to all who come to Him.  That's one wedding celebration I don't want to miss!

May God bless your week!

  2. I've made my reservation for this too -- wouldn't it be lovely if our seats are near each other?
